About

Howdy! I take it that you want to know more about the genius behind this website, if you care enough to read this page, so let me introduce myself to you. My name is Majanka, and I’m currently 20 years old and reading law at university. I was born on the 2nd of July (give me an early/late birthday present?), which makes me a cancer, in the wonderful year of 1990 – the Chinese year of the Horse. I have resided in the same house and in the same country all my life, namely a three-storage house situated in Belgium. I have high hopes of becoming a successful lawyer one day, engage in politics and possibly publish a novel. If I could choose my dream house, it would most likely be a small castle of the 19th century, because I’m special like that. I’m ambitious, an idealist, rebellious, cursed with a great sense of justice, intelligent (or so I often presume to be) and a perfectionist. If you want to know more about me, I suggest you read my lengthy and prozaic autobiography. The term ‘lengthy’ is not exaggerated, trust me.

I have tons of hobbies, because I like filling my spare time doing all sorts of stuff. My number one passion is writing: sometimes I think I should have been born with a quill in my hand. I occassionally write original fiction, mostly fantasy or vampire-related fiction, and fanfiction situated in the Harry Potter universe, The Vampire Diaries, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or based on other original novels or movies. If you are interested, I advise you to visit my writing portfolio, where you can read my latest works. When I’m not writing, you will most likely catch me reading a rather lengthy fantasy novel or thriller, which I then often review on this website. Since I haven’t been reading as much as I used to lately, I’ve joined the 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge to encourage myself to read more often. Furthermore, I enjoy plenty of other traditional forms of art, such as photography, drawing, painting and even crafting – most of my artworks can be seen in my art gallery. But more than I enjoy the traditional muses, I love webdesign and coding. One of my other aspirations is to become a professional webdesign freelancer, and my portfolio might be the first step to accomplishing said goal. When I’m not spending my spare time doing one of the above, I am most likely gaming. World of Warcraft is my number one choice of game, but when I get bored with that, there are plenty of other games I enjoy, which you can read all about on my gamelog.

I love lists – perhaps this is a part of my perfectionist nature. In order to keep myself busy and active, I’ve made a list of 101 Things to do in 1001 days. You can read it if you want to know what I’ve been up to lately, or simply for random entertainment.
